Peter Bannan is a freelance New Zealand director and photographer based in Bali, Indonesia. After completing a Fine Arts degree studying Film at Canterbury University (New Zealand), he began a career directing music videos, short films and TV documentaries, alongside exhibiting personal photography as well as commercial fashion photography.
In NZ he founded Bannan Films, an Auckland film company producing both photography and film, shooting for many fashion designers, catalogues and magazines, both nationally and internationally. He gained numerous international projects including an award winning International Sony campaign shot in Sydney.
Peter has since relocated to Asia continues to work as Director, DP, and Photographer.
Additionally he was Editor in Chief/Creative Director of of FashionTV Asia Magazine, also creative directing the Asian launch of New York based design magazine Surface.
Peter's interest and expertise lie in creating characters, story telling, working with people, subtle humor, food, fashion, and directing children, often Directing, DP, and Photography on his projects.
